I told her that the on-line reviews were almost all positive five-star reviews. Three things I always try to take out of towners to (but are just as applicable to in towners) would be: 1) Clay target/skeet shooting at Deep River Sporting Clays (south of Raleigh) or similar place: Home | Deep River Sporting Clays, Inc.
Part of North Carolina's "Triangle," Cary is home to numerous entertainment venues and has plenty of romantic hideaways for a quiet evening, while also catering to the young and young at heart looking for a more fun and festive date night.
2) Carolina Tiger Rescue: Carolina Tiger Rescue - Home Page 3) Indoor skydiving (near Fayettenam - so a bit of a drive, but usually people have a blast): Paraclete XP Sky Venture, LLC | Fly with us! We'll take her back again when the weather cools off a bit. Perhaps a tour without the drinks would include better food.
The last time we went, you could virtually get right up against the fence to the tigers and all the other big cats (they have lions and jaguars and many others). Hearing a real tiger or lion roaring is simply incredible. I understand the Raleigh tour is different each time.
Not to mention, in downtown Raleigh it is not only hosting Hopscotch, which will take over downtown from Thurs-Sat, but also First Friday.
Downtown will be a crazy place to find a outside table early and crowd watch, plus lots of free day parties Friday and Saturday.
